Safety for Schopfheim – from Schopfheim
An mTripod turnstile now greets visitors to Schopfheim’s municipal office and automatically checks that they are wearing a face mask.
“The increase in Covid-19 infections shows that we must definitely not start relaxing the hygiene rules,” declared Deputy Mayor Thomas Gsell. “With the new system we politely remind visitors to put their face masks on. We thus protect our citizens and our employees.”
The new access system originates in the immediate vicinity, more precisely at our company headquarters in Schopfheim, in the South-West of Germany. A three-arm turnstile from the current FlowMotion® series was used for the project. The barrier – with a slender silhouette and flowing lines – is made using the environmentally friendly material mDure, and its colour has been customised for use at the entrance of the municipal office in the distinctive blue of Schopfheim town. A camera with intelligent image processing checks visitors. The turnstile permits passage if the mask is worn correctly. Whereby Schopfheim’s citizens need have no concerns about data security: all image files are only processed internally and are not stored. The turnstile’s only external connection is an electric cable.
“We already collaborate closely regarding CO2 offsetting,” reports Arno Steiner, Magnetic’s Managing Director. “We are delighted that we have now been able to support and protect the town and its citizens with our new FlowMotion® series. This is an ideal reference for us on our doorstep. And Schopfheim town thus becomes a real pioneer when it comes to automated infection protection.”
