Case Study: Securing Egypt's Largest Stadium with Advanced Turnstile Solutions
Client Overview:
the Egyptian Army Stadium, is a stadium in Egypt's Olympic Sports City in the New Administrative Capital. It has a capacity of over 93,940 people, making it the largest stadium in the country and the second largest in Africa.
It is part of the Egypt International Olympic City, a large sports complex that has been under construction since 2015. It has a training ground, two indoor halls (one of them with a 15,000-capacity arena), an Olympic-size swimming pool, and other buildings.
The stadium was initially scheduled to open in 2022, but was later postponed to June 2023, and finally the facility was not ready until early 2024. In January 2024, the Egyptian national football team trained at the stadium in preparation for the African Cup of Nations. The first match took place at the facility on March 22, 2024, when Egypt defeated New Zealand 1–0 in a match played as part of a friendly tournament.
Project Challenge:
The client required a solution for easy and quick public entry without increasing ground staff, aiming to enhance security while ensuring effective control of entrances and sensitive areas.
Solution Provided:
Leveraging our extensive experience in global security solutions, we recommended installing 70 MPT full-height turnstiles and 30 mTripod wing gates. These systems integrate with conventional access control systems, operate in both directions, and are resistant to corrosion, moisture, UV radiation, and aggressive chemicals, making them ideal for outdoor use.
Installation and Results:
The installation, completed in early 2024, successfully provided secure pedestrian access to the stadium. Our solution ensured efficient and controlled entry, meeting all the client’s security and operational needs
